Trade Marketing and Program Management Associate - Foodservice

 The Opportunity:

The Associate, Trade Marketing and Program Management – Foodservice will play a critical role in positioning Maple Leaf as the #1 partner of choice in Food Service. Reporting to the Director, Sales Strategy and Operations, this role is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing programs that support the Foodservice sales team. Building strong relationships is essential, as the Associate will collaborate with Marketing, Foodservice Sales, external agencies, and key customer partners to bring programs to life.

The Associate will partner with the Manager, Sales Strategy and Customer Engagement to translate sales and go-to-market strategies into actionable trade marketing plans, including digital and social initiatives, selling materials, and trade show executions — while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance our overall approach and content.  They will also work closely with the Foodservice Sales and Strategy team to define trade marketing program requirements tailored to specific channels and customers. The Associate will also support the planning and management of our ad and promotion budget, as well as other ad hoc Trade Marketing related projects for our Food Service team.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Oversee our Foodservice website, digital and social media executions, ensuring appropriate content aligned with sales strategies and consistent execution across platforms.
  • Develop selling materials to support category and segment initiatives, as well as to position our product portfolio in a compelling and relevant manner for our Foodservice customers.
  • Support the strategy, design and deployment of industry leading trade show assets and standards for how Maple Leaf shows up to our industry and customers
  • Develop and execute branded trade marketing initiatives, including online and trade magazine advertising
  • Collaborate with customer business teams and customers to support account-specific trade marketing initiatives and program

What You’ll Bring:

  • A passion for brands, communication, strategy, consumer insights and storytelling for sales… as well as food!
  • Experience: 1-2+ years in Brand or Trade Marketing experience, or related agency experience in marketing and/or shopper marketing; digital marketing or sales experience would be an asset
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Category Management, and External Retailer Teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt based on brand priorities
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey strategic plans and results effectively to stakeholders.
