The Opportunity:
The Sanitation Supervisor reports to the Sanitation Manager. Working closely with other team members, Sanitation Supervisor strives and support the plant food safety program by running of the sanitation department and ensure that the master sanitation schedule and day to day sanitation activities are in compliance with AIB, HACCP, customer and regulatory standards.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Monitor and implement the Master Sanitation schedule. This includes monitoring and following up on sanitation activities on down days.
- Schedule and audit the sanitation workers.
- Order sanitation supplies and maintain the sanitation materials and labour budgets.
- Be a contributing member of the HACCP team.
- Write new sanitation work instructions and develop a sanitation training manual.
- Train sanitation workers on new sanitation procedures and monitor progress.
- Order and evaluate sanitation chemicals.
- Develop and maintain sanitation WHIMIS workplace labeling system for all sanitation chemicals.
- Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, WHIMIS, CFIA, MSDS and MLF policy requirements.
- Participate in audits – Food Safety, BRC and Health & Safety.
What You’ll Bring:
- Post secondary education in Food Science or related field.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation requirements.
- Minimum three years progressive experience in the food and manufacturing industry, including supervisory level experience in a unionized environment.
- Adaptable to diverse shifts and primed for overtime, demonstrating a commitment to meeting customer needs swiftly and efficiently.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be flexible and willing to be ‘hands on’ to perform tasks as required.
