The Customer Business Development Manager - Private Label is part of the Loblaw Customer Business Team and is the Project Management Lead enabling the commercial agenda via collaboration across all internal and external stakeholders. The CBDM - Private Label is responsible for overseeing the leadership of all project work internally by ensuring we commercialize products with Loblaw Brands Limited (LBL) that mutually aligns with the LBL and MLF agenda. The CBDM - Private Label will also be the key customer liaison responsible for communicating and managing the commercial agenda with the LBL Product Managers (PM’s).
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
Provides Commercial Leadership for all internal project meetings.
Works closely with all key internal cross functions to enable the mutual agenda.
Continually builds Private Label competitive intelligence vs. Branded products vs. Private Label products and assesses the opportunity for MLF with LBL.
Demonstrates understanding of LBL strategies and drives business through an LBL lens, acts as a champion to bridge the LBL, BU and Procurement agendas.
Cognizant of the MLF Branded agenda, successfully finds synergies and makes recommendations to simplify and optimize the LBL agenda to compliment the MLF agenda.
Supports the Loblaw CBT growth agenda across key KPI’s by bringing new innovation, conversion ideas to market, or winning business from competitors which enhances MLF’s Private Label presence at Loblaw.
Raise the LBL profile and agenda within the Loblaw CBT and broader MLF organization by building awareness internally through monthly team update meetings and cross CBT monthly best practices
Actively updates and manages the project work content of the weekly Loblaw PL Scorecard.
Manages 3rd Party Lab testing payables process (i.e. Sillker testing, Annual Audits, etc.)
Supports PD Team via ensuring all Plant Trials are coordinated with LBL PD.
Supports FSQA Team via ensuring all 1st Productions are coordinated with LBL FSQA.
Actively participates in internal product sensory evaluations and endorsements.
Coordinates all sample requirements to customer.

What you will bring:

5+ Years commercial (sales and/or marketing) experience
University degree or college diploma - business concentration preferred
Product Development knowledge, product and SAP RD process strongly preferred
Strong commercial sense and industry knowledge
Ability to manage complex, high profile projects
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Track record of success in leading and driving initiatives to completion
Ability to influence at multiple levels within organizations
Adaptable / change agent
Creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills as part of a Continuous Improvement culture
