The Opportunity

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the Distribution Administrator would be responsible for processing and reconciling all site-specific work orders and purchases and monitoring of DC systems. The Distribution Administrator will assist the Human Resources & Safety Supervisor in the ongoing development and enhancement of the HR & Safety Programs for the Midwest Distribution Centre. This includes supporting with site hiring, training and records keeping.


A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do: 

  • Setup & work with contractors on PM’s & repairs
  • Create purchase orders
  • Receive purchase orders
  • Reconciliation of invoices
  • Monitor site security system (alarm system) & work with contractor on repairs as required
  • Monitor site security camera system
  • Support new hire orientation and maintaining Alchemy courses
  • Update & print employee access cards
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor with hiring and onboarding new employees
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor with updated Alchemy training
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor with iWarehouse monitoring, reports & adding new employees
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor on annual fire alarm system inspection & repairs
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor on semi-annual, annual fire suppression system inspections & repairs
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor on monthly fire pump tests & inspection
  • Support HR/HS Supervisor with Contractor Check updates
  • Maintain inventory and repair records of office and warehouse systems hardware
  • Procure and maintain office and warehouse systems hardware and supplies as required
  • Identify opportunities for office and warehouse process improvements
  • Support with C3 testing and operational meetings for C3 testing
  • Managing daily courier shipping & tracking.
  • Administrative duties for all functional groups
  • Other work as assigned by management

What you will bring:

  • Completion of High school and combined with 1-2 years of experience in a Distribution environment would be an asset. 
  • Human Resources and Health & Safety experience would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Effective team player
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft office programs including Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources including unionized Distribution environment is an asset.
  • Previous experience in Health & Safety environment is an asset.
