The Material Supply Coordinator will be responsible for requisition and monitoring of packaging, ingredients and plant supplies to meet production needs.
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
Monitor materials, supplies, and ingredients to ensure availability to meet production demands
Gather vendor performance data for the facility
Work with the Material Supply Leader and designated suppliers to implement cost reduction proposals, product standardization, and promotion of best practices
Work within SAP to set up vendors, prepare purchase orders, set up transfers
Maintain material related master data within SAP
Interact with shipping/receiving, scheduling, purchasing and production to ensure the daily requirements for production are met
Responsible for making dry goods scheduling changes and communicating changes to suppliers
Lead the inventory count process, making necessary adjustments and investigating discrepancies. Analyze variance reports and drive continuous improvement
Communicate with QA about product issues, and execute the return goods process with the suppliers of returned products/goods
Responsible for ensuring that confirmation of receiving on PO’s is completed accurately, and investigate any discrepancies
Maintain vendor relationships
Maintain and control vendor managed inventories for vendors
Drive process improvement within the Material Control dry goods areas
Lead material control dry goods shop floor associates
Ensures duties are performed with compliance to food safety and health and safety standards

What you will bring:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field;
3 – 5 years experience in materials inventory, planning, and purchasing within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of SAP
Excellent time management, multi-tasking and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management
Attention to detail with a strong customer service focus
Advanced computer skills in MS Office
CPIM or CPP a strong asset
