Base Salary: $46,000 - $70,000 CAD base pay annually
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Coordinating programs and events that engage employees, partners, and the community, including fundraising initiatives, employee engagement activities, board meetings, and signature external events such as our annual Golf Tournament and Conference. You’ll also support the Raise the Good in the Neighbourhood volunteer program by working across the business to coordinate events and meetings.
- Supporting grants and funding activities by collaborating on the grant review process, tracking partnership grants, supporting reporting and payments, and gathering data and metrics that help measure impact. You’ll also manage and respond to general inquiries related to funding and information.
- Contributing to communications and storytelling that bring our purpose to life. This includes managing the Maple Leaf Centre for Food Security website and quarterly newsletter, supporting social media content development, drafting the social impact section of the Maple Leaf Foods Annual Report, and creating presentation materials. You’ll also manage shared inboxes to ensure timely and thoughtful responses.
- Providing administrative and operational support that keeps the team running effectively, including tracking government outreach, coordinating expenses with Accounts Payable, and supporting the Centre Chair and Executive Director with scheduling, travel coordination, and calendar management.
What You’ll Bring:
You’re a detail-oriented coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You bring:
- 2–5 years of experience in program coordination, administration, or community engagement
(experience in social impact or government relations is an asset)
- Strong project and time management skills, with experience supporting events or programs
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfort with basic financial administration, including purchase orders and accounts payable
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams); experience with additional platforms is an asset
